Wicked Winter Readathon – Post #2

Posted on 02/05/2012 in Challenge / 2 Comments

Hi Read-a-thoners! Welcome to my second update post! I’ve finished 2 books so far and I’m working on number three all while preparing for a SuperBowl party!  I AM A ROCKSTAR.   Please feel free to drop a comment with a link to your WWRAT post; I’d love to see what you’re up to!

My goals for the weekend:

Finish Fracture (check)

So I completed Fracture by Megan Miranda.  I actually did this on Friday night.  Pretty good book, 3 1/2 stars.  Review should be up sometime in the next 2 weeks (no pressure now, since it’s already released).

Finish Ten Things We Did (and probably shouldn’t have)

I also completed Ten Things We Did just this morning.  This was a cute book, definitely better suited for teens and those who are hard-core YA junkies.  I like YA, but this lacked the maturity I require to truly enjoy it the way I wanted to.  16-year-old Jenn would have loved it; 32-year-old Jenn (FML!) says, “Ehhh, sure.”

If I can squeeze in GODDESS INTERRUPTED, I will try!

And we’re off!  I just finished cleaning MY WHOLE HOUSE for the SuperBowl party we’re hosting tonight, and I’m about 40 pages into GODDESS INTERRUPTED.  I wonder how far I can get?  I think it’s 300 pages long.

I should also mention that I’m continuing to listen to the audiobook of Blood Red Road by Moira Young (like when I’m cooking and cleaning, basically what I call CRAZYTOWN).   But I won’t finish that, I have 4 hours to go.  Can’t control the speed of that one!

BTW: Right now you can win a personalized copy of FEVER by Lauren DeStefano!  Go over to Lost Amongst the Shelves to enter her giveaway!  Do all the entries through her Rafflecopter widget and maybe you’ll win!  Maybe I’ll win.  I hope I do.  Is that terrible to say?  Probably.  But I do.  Come on, it’s FEVER!

Happy Readathonning!

Jennifer is both a book nerd and professional photographer. That means she lives in the fantasy world all the time, whether of her making, or someone else's. She collects books like the Duggar family collects kids, and began waiting for her Hogwarts letter at the tender age of 33.

I really wish I could have done this, it looked like a blast. I was just so busy this weekend. Hopefully there is another one!
