The Sunday Post The Sunday Post is a weekly wrap-up post hosted by Kimba at CaffeinatedBookReviewer.com.  This is the post where we discuss books we’ve acquired throughout the week, news, and interesting links to other blogs. I can’t believe it’s March and we got 10″ of snow in one day this week.  WHAT EVEN.  Go away, Snow!  We don’t want you ’round here no mo’!

News You Can Use

I’m not surprised in the slightest, but Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning (book 8 in the Fever series) has been delayed to a January 19, 2016 release: Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning     This is just like that one time when they pushed Burned back five billion times.  *sobs*   Google, in an effort to confuse bloggers even further, has begun including “mobile-friendly” in its website rankings and search results:

“When it comes to search on mobile devices, users should get the most relevant and timely results, no matter if the information lives on mobile-friendly web pages or apps. As more people use mobile devices to access the internet, our algorithms have to adapt to these usage patterns.”

What this means is, you need to either have a responsive design or a mobile theme installed, because more users are browsing the internet from their mobile devices.  You can check to see if you are mobile-friendly here. Why are so many adults reading YA?  That is the question asked on The Guardian two weeks ago and readers answer.  But perhaps it’s because, we like it?  Maybe?   Also, we have literally just started embracing Bloglovin’.  Oh, we’ve have had it since it debuted in place of Google Reader, but we never really checked in with it and didn’t track followers.   It seems like it’s the platform that has taken off, which makes us so happy!  So if you get notifications we’ve followed you on there, it’s just us playing catchup.   I’m also thinking of starting a new feature to spotlight other bloggers!  I know it’s been done before but I haven’t seen it in regularity in a long time.   Would anyone be interested in that?

  1. Ugh. I can’t believe you’re still getting all that snow. I feel for you, honest. It flurried here for a bit this morning, but thankfully it didn’t stick, I think every single one of us who shares links in their Sunday Posts shared Parajunkee’s this week LOL! It’s a great list for sure. I also may have sorta mentioned your NetGalley post 😉 I’m looking forward to the Edelweiss one! I also need to get better at using Bloglovin’ to keep up with things. YAY! My site is mobile friendly. Thanks for the heads up. And I’m sorry to hear the next Fever book is delayed. But that might give me a chance to finally catch up again. Have a great week, Jennifer!
