The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Last week on The Bawdy Book Blog

I was in Kansas City attending Romantic Times Booklovers Convention from May 1st through May 5th, so I literally left the blog to its own devices for about 2 weeks.  The week I was gone was prepped, but I was so tired after I came back, I needed a break, and time to go through my luggage, unpack and get back into the swing of things.  Oh, and sleep.  So here’s the last two weeks on the blog:

Coming up this week?

  • Not a damn clue.

May is going to be a light month; not only did I go to RT, but I have a vacation coming up (week at the beach, lots of reading to get done!) and I decided at the last second to attend BEA with Steph from Cuddlebuggery.  That does not leave room for a lot of posts, but that’s okay!  It means we will get lots of content for June!

Book Haulin’!

So.  You may have noticed the little announcement at the top notifying of a name and URL change.  We are going to be moving away from the Bawdy brand to in the near future.  Some reasons for this:  people confuse “bawdy” and “body” verbally, I get a LOT of smut requests (something not in my listed genres, but I get it, Bawdy is in the title, and my Avi is pretty sexy), and the URL is pretty long.  There are also a lot of “___ Book Blog” names out there, so it doesn’t stand out as much as it used to.

This is where nerdhuffing comes in.  Amanda, my long-time BFF and co-reviewer, had a blogspot called “Nerdhuffing” and the name is cute, awesome and unique.  But she’s part of the team now, and I asked if we could use her name instead.  She said sure (contingent on sharing my millions with her if Nerdhuffing becomes an international superstar hit blog…hahaha) and there we have it.  Nerdhuffing was born.

Since I’m going to BEA at the end of the month and the publishers know us as The Bawdy Book Blog, the change is going to wait until after I get back.  And it’s a big change; a lot has to go into it, including redirects, importing posts and comments, requesting facebook to change the fanpage URL and name, as well as begging you guys to resubscribe via email.  I’ll be bribing with a lot of giveaways this summer *wink wink, nudge nudge* (some are even signed!)

Books I'm giving away this summer!

“Other” News

I’m getting married! He asked me right after I returned from RT!

Have a great week, peeps!

The following two tabs change content below.
Jennifer is both a book nerd and professional photographer. That means she lives in the fantasy world all the time, whether of her making, or someone else's. She collects books like the Duggar family collects kids, and began waiting for her Hogwarts letter at the tender age of 33.

    • Yeah, it’s a busy month, but once it’s over, things will return to normal (minus wedding planning, the beast all its own). This is my only weekend with Lee this whole month and of course, he’s really sick.
