Olivia thinks it’s her lucky night when a dangerously handsome unconscious fae ends up on her inspection table. He’s her chance to redeem herself with her employer, the demon-hunting organisation, Archangel. But when the tall, dark and deadly immortal warrior awakes, she gets much more than she bargained for…\r\n\r\nAttacked by his enemy in the elf kingdom, the last thing Prince Loren expects when he comes around is a beautiful angel watching over him and medical technology of the mortal realm. Hazy from his injuries, all he can focus on is the pulse ticking in her throat and the sweet allure of her blood.\r\n\r\nOne single bite reveals she is his eternal mate, triggering a bond between them that will leave him weakened until it is complete… or broken, and pulling Olivia into the crossfire of his ancient feud.\r\n\r\nTo protect his people and his mate from the machinations of a madman, Loren must risk everything by working with Olivia at Archangel to find a way to break the bond blossoming between them.\r\n\r\nBut will Loren be strong enough to place duty before desire and give up the one thing he has waited millennia for and craves above all others—his eternal mate? And will Olivia be able to resist the incredible heat that burns between them and the temptation of her dark prince’s kiss?

This book is a shiny example of how dedicated readers, like myself, can easily escape reality and join another world.  We are a small group, we can pick each other out in crowds, we know the secret handshakes and gladly give free hugs when we see a fellow reader upset because the current world they are in is over.   I have never heard of this author but after some research I am shocked to the bone that I haven’t.  What an amazing writer.  Felicity, my hat is off to you, you have gained a new fan.  I will be adding ALL your books to my Goodreads list, so I can boast to all that I have read them all. Our two main stars are Olivia (scientific type that works for Archangel) and Loren (an Elf Dark Prince).  They are mates, as in forever mates.  Loren knows this at first bite; Olivia gets the fun of figuring it out.  The two sidekicks are Sable (Olivia’s best friend and best huntress of Archangel, bringing dark and deadly to heel) and Blue (Loren’s first in command and protector of the prince).  Olivia and Sable live on earth in present time.  Loren and Blue live in a different realm and have been alive over 50,000 years.  There is a lot of hilarity when these two worlds collide.  The trouble makers of the story are Vail (Loren’s little brother) and his saucy wench Kordula (a woman with power).  They have been causing Loren and his people heartache for thousands of years with war after war after war.  But when it comes to these two, there is more than meets the eyes.   As events start to unfold we are introduced to more characters that leave you with the impression you will see them again.  I feel a new family coming into my life. The thing I liked the most about the book was that the supernatural races you are introduced too, are not the “new age” one’s we read about since Twilight.  They are who they are and feel no remorse about the natural way they live.  Vampires drink blood, Werewolves kill all, Elves use power and Sorcerers use magic.  Though some supernatural races live among humans they do blend in and try not to bring attention to themselves.  It was really unique how they described all the different realms the different race’s come from.  I want your opinion when you hear the name of the land, my jaw dropped. Felicity has a very good way of wrapping you up in her words and grabbing you on page 2!  This book is such a fun easy read.  It’s the kind of book you can pop into and enjoy witty banter between men and women and hot steamy sex.  Some would call this erotica and some will call it romance.  With detailed sex scenes that had my blood pressure racing, it wasn’t a Nora Roberts book but it was no E.L. James book either.  In case you didn’t see it the first time, this is book 1 of a series.  THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!  The bad part is, the series is not complete yet and we have to wait till the next book is released to see what happens next.

Memorable Quote

“What is this?” he said, eyeing the garment.  Olivia smiled and reached around behind her.  “I’m not waiting while you fumble with your first bra.” Fumble? He had intended to cut the unholy thing off her, not fool around with whatever held it in place on her body.

The earliest movie Kristina can remember watching is “The Neverending Story”. It was all downhill from there. She then watched any movie she could from old black-n-white, classic musicals to the current movies coming out. While other kids were outside playing, Kristina could be found watching movies over and over and over again, experiencing new things each time she watched them, memorizing lines and acting out the scenes. She loves everything about them from the directing, set & costume design, acting and foundtrack/film score. Her favorite genres are B-movies, British films and other foreign films.

I’ve been dying to get my greedy little hands on this book! and I love that the supes aren’t ashamed of who they are. It’s why I love Larissa Ione’s worlds because her heroes are unabashedly naughty. I’m glad to hear Felicity Heaton’s are just the same! 😀 Great review Kristina! 🙂
