This Week: Plans for the Future

Well, my plans for the future include planning my wedding!  He proposed the day after I returned from the RT convention last year in Kansas City (so me and my 50lbs in books didn’t scare him away after all!), and we’ve been planning ever since.  I will be completely honest, though: I never want to plan a wedding again.  It is so not my cup of tea! Anyway, we’re very excited because we’re having a destination wedding in Mexico!

After the wedding, things will go back to normal, because there are no other big plans on the horizon.  And that is perfectly okay with us 😉

I hate wedding planning! This sounds bad but my husband and I are each others second marriage so we were in Vegas for a trip in 2010. We made a bet that if the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in game 6 we would get married. They did so we did. (although my best friend was pissed when she found out it wasn’t a joke and missed it. lol)

  2. What a beautiful place for a wedding! Hopefully they are setup to take care of a lot of the hassle. I used to work at a resort in Event Planning and even though I mainly did corporate events, the times I did do weddings were enough to make me never want to plan one again. Friends are constantly asking for my help (and I do help as a wedding present…because I pretty much do the whole J-LO thing in the Wedding planner for them) but I think that may be the main reason me and my bf of 9 years still haven’t tied the knot…

  3. Holy wow, that picture is GORGEOUS!!! O_O I’m so jealous! I also have a wedding to plan for, but neither of us are worried about it right now. We’ll figure out a date at the end of this year or maybe the beginning of next year. We’re not in a rush, we just know we want to be married 🙂
