In My Mailbox (14): The Holidays Edition!

In My Mailbox is a weekly book blogger meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren that let’s bloggers showcase any books they’ve received and/or purchased over the last week. Make sure you stop by her blog to check it out and add your name to the linky!

What’s in my mailbox this week?

So I didn’t do an IMM last week because I was traveling and such, but I received some great books from family and friends (and myself LOL) for Christmas!  I felt very spoiled!  Thank you to everyone who gave these to me, you know how appreciated you are (because I’ve probably told you…A LOT)!

Harry Potter Box Set from my boyfriend (I finally get to read these books!)

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson from my roommate (Apple fangirl here, lover of all iThings)

I also received the following NookBooks from April over at My Shelf Confessions (thanks, April!)

Not to mention…

  • From my best friend Mandi: a $30 Barnes & Noble Gift Card (thanks, honey)!

For my Nook App

For my Kindle App

Whew, that was a lot of linking!  So, I may have gone overboard a teensy bit with the cheap and/or free downloads, but a lot of these look really good.  I couldn’t resist.  At one point, I did buy one I actually wouldn’t have, because it was free for Prime members, but 99 cents otherwise, but I had an itchy trigger finger.  Oh well!  Some of these books are no longer free, others still are, so definitely click on the links if they sound interesting to you!  I picked them up during Amazon’s Big Deal event, and I’m always on the lookout for more freebies, because, well, I have a book-hoarding problem.

  2. I cannot WAIT for you to read THe HP series, like.. you think I loved VA.. HP is like the king of all series in my heart’s hierarchy 😀 I don’t think anything will ever be able to top it. I’m excited to read Uneathly too, and so glad you picked up Hex Hall!! That one was awesome! I also need to read Unidentified and Poison Diaries, PD has been on my wish list forever and I’m excited to finally be able to dig in 😀 I’ve had Dead(ish) by Naomi Kramer for awhile, haven’t read it yet but it looks decent too! Happy New Year and Reading!! 😀 <33 April

    • I have a confession: I have already finished Unearthly LOL! It was REALLY good. I was very happy to finish the year with a great book. Can’t wait to read Hallowed. Crap, I forgot all the galleys I received! Sigh, next week.

Hi, I’m brazilian. I have a doubt about Harry Potter books. Are those box(in the box) with ear or no? (The part with the photo of JK inside). Kisses

  7. Luiza Xavier

Yes, Jennifer. This is what I wanted to know. In Brazil it’s called “ear”(that part inside the book -flap jackets) . Thank you
