Since the NookColor was announced, I’ve gone back and forth with whether I wanted to purchase it. I really (REALLY) want an iPad2, and while I can afford to buy one, it’s still a little steep for me (I’m kinda cheap). I love my Classic Nook so much, so today I caved and purchased a NookColor.

I love it! I was able to sync Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and Goodreads and I’ve already sent NookFriends requests out to people with Nooks/NookColors. I’ve surfed the web, checked out the app store, arranged books and created a bookshelf. I even read a little of my current book (Last Sacrifice, Vampire Academy #6, by Richelle Mead if you must know). This device does it all and now I don’t have to spend a jazillion dollars on those little watch batteries for my Lyra Light every time they run out of juice (which is approximately 20 reading hours, so fairly often).
I don’t plan to get rid of my Classic Nook; afterall, it’s well loved and e-Ink, so ideal for reading in the sun. But I think I have a new primary ereader now and we’re going to be besties!
Do you have an ereader? If so, what and when did you get it? And tell me how much you love it and can’t live without it! 🙂
