I saw these A to Z surveys and I had to do one, too!
Author You’ve Read the Most Books From:
Without a doubt, it’s Francine Pascal (although she didn’t technically author her books) when I was in middle and high school. Yep, I included those in my Goodreads a long time ago and the number is at 144, but I think it’s actually more than that. Runners up are Nora Roberts at 27 books, David Eddings at 14 books, then Piers Anthony at 10 and J.R. Ward at 7. My favorite author Karen Moning sits tied at 7 with 3 others, including Ward.
Best Sequel Ever:
Without a shadow of a doubt, it is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I know that book got a lot of hate, because people complained it felt rushed or didn’t have an HEA or whatever, but I really liked it. It was a series about war and those don’t always get HEAs. I thought the ending was perfect.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows…for the first time ever! You should check out my Confessions of a Harry Potter Virgin posts going live over the next 7 weeks!
Drink of Choice While Reading:
I really only drink two things: water or sparkling water with lemon. So one of those.
E-reader or Physical Book?
I love the look of physical books on my shelf and I have a lot of them. But I prefer reading on an e-reader. Love my Kindle Paperwhite and my iPad Mini!
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated in High School:
Jericho Barrons, because I’m attracted to assholes. True story.
Glad You Gave This Book a Chance:
Darkfever by Karen Moning. I got it as a freebie on one of Barnes & Noble’s Freebie Fridays for Nook and discovered my favorite series and author EVER. I almost didn’t read it though!
Hidden Gem Book:
What Kills Me by Wynne Channing. This is an Indie YA Paranormal title, but it is so polished and clean and…awesome! Channing was recently picked up by a traditional publisher and the second book in the series comes out this winter. I’m so excited!
Important Moment in Your Reading Life:
The day I became unemployed in 2011. It pushed me to do greater things in my life, like find a job I actually enjoyed and also start this book blog! (I did both!)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince….for the first time ever! =O
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I don’t think there is much I won’t read. Even the right kind of non-fiction will pique my interest sometimes.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
I think it was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at 870 pages.
Major Book Hangover Because Of:
How To Love by Katie Cotugno! OMG, this book, it gave me goosebumps and the feels!
Number of Bookcases You Own:
Not enough, that’s how many. I have stacks of books on windowsills, in boxes…
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
I’ve read David Eddings’ Belgarian and Mallorean series at least 10 times. It is THAT GOOD.
Preferred Place to Read:
In bed, all comfy-like.
I won’t name names, that would be mean.
Series You Started and Need to Finish:
Working on the Harry Potter series now, that’s been a long time coming. I can’t think of anything else!
Three of Your All-Time Favorite Books:
Shadowfever by Karen Moning Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins Seeress of Kell by David Eddings
Unapologetic Fangirl for:
All things The Hunger Games
Very Excited for This Release More Than All the Others:
Burned by Karen Moning!
Worst Bookish Habit:
UGH, I LIKE TO EAT WHILE I READ.
X Marks the Spot (Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book):
A hardback of Parallel by Lauren Miller.
Your Latest Book Purchase:
I just bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for Kindle…even though I own it in hardback AND paperback.
ZZZ-Snatcher Book (Last Book That Kept You Up Way Late):
